I guess I should add, for the record, that I didn't win the Lowther. Betsy Struthers did, for her seventh book of poetry, Still. I didn't expect to win and am not the least disappointed. I held my own in high company and am thrilled and proud of my little book. I wore my turquoise ponco (James took this picture), and danced past midnight.

James also took pictures of the great bowl of the St. Lawrence (okay, Lac St- Somebody, but it's really a wide spot in the river) that appears in yesterday's poem "Chalcedony..."
