Still darn sick, on and off. But off to Montreal for the weekend anyway. My Ghost Maps is up for the Lowther award for best book by a woman, which will be given Saturday night. I don't expect to win -- you should see the list -- but I do plan to listen to Anne Carson's keynote, and generally kick up my heels.

It is a deserving book none the less. I lent my copy out and it has not returned. I hope it does because your inscription is important to me. At least I know it's being read.
