Marsh Marigold

Much better today, though wrung out. Outside it's warm, damp after last night's thunder storm, almost hot. Capri and sandals for the first time. I walked between morning work and afternoon work. Went to mass, and got a few shots of what are bound to be the last of the marsh marigold, down near the boggy field where the speedwell grow.

Marsh marigold are so glossy they are hard to photograph. Only in shadow can you see the depth of their colour -- but only in sun will they open.
