Spotted the first robin today. I was standing at the kitchen window it was hunched and disgruntled in the snowy cherry just outside. It's been a long winter. I got excited and I shouted: "Robin! James, James! It's a robin!"
James thought I was being attacked by robbers and came pounding down the steps ready to fight them off bare-handed.
