cemetery in the snow

Went walking in the cemetery behind the hospital where I'm working. Took James's camera again. Waded into the snow -- knee-deep and deeper. Knelt and even lay down in it. I haven't been in the snow like that since I was a kid. My outer pants got covered with snow, which pilled and refroze and made the fabric stiff, and then cracked like a skim of clay that dries too fast. My one bare hand got so cold that when I put it in my pocket it got hot.

I think photography could become another Dangerous Obsession. All the way home on the bus I took pictures of other busers in my head instead writing about them in my head. Soon I won't be able to get out of my head at all.

I have this up as wallpaper right now. Feel free to use it if you like.

I think I mentioned the other day I know nothing about photography. Wouldn't mind a few pointers from someone who does.

see -- you are having fun!

You seem to know the important
things: composition and light. The best part of digital photography is the almost endless supply of "film" which allows you to experiment with lighting conditions and camera settings to learn what works best for you and your camera.
