So I went to the always stunning Eden Mills festival today. Wolsak and Wynn had a table , and on the table, up in perspex display above the stacks of books -- like the prom queen I never was -- they had (drumroll) Ghost Maps! Hot off the press, a few days early.
Amazing -- like seeing the rings of Saturn. I mean, yeah, you knew there were real, but now they're really real. Really really real.
W&W brought only ten copies, and they sold out, so I still don't have a copy to love and cuddle, but the book does exist. People did track me down through the day to have me sign it. All people I know, granted, but several I don’t know well, so it’s a start.
I should have copies here soon. I’ll put up a Paypal thingy here so that anyone inclined can order it.
Oh, I bounced and wiggled. The jazz band played “Summertime” and I waltzed myself down the dusty street.
Let there be much rejoicing! And band playing, everybody dancing, and a copy of Ghost Maps for all!
